293 horn location

Does anyone know where the horn is located on a 1999 293? The horn hasn't worked and tested the wiring and switch round that behind the gauges someone has cut the wire and can't find the other half to wire it back. I figured I would just run a new wire to it wherever it is located. I have looked everywhere I can think of for it. Thanks ahead for any help

My 03 262 has what I believe is the horn behind the bow seats on the starboard side.

I realize yours is closed bow but the horn could be in the same location?

I was tracing speaker wires and had to get inside the storage area in front of the helm. I shined a light forward along the hull.

Those model year horns are normally located in the bow anchor locker.
Cobalt went to a two toned dual horn a couple years later.
Here’s our 2005/263 horns...

I looked at that yesterday and didn't see any.

Yes. That quoted response was directed more for RD and his 262.

As far as FD’s 293, a wiring diagram will help as I did not see those exterior horn grills either.

Mine is a single located similarly to Aslan7’s and mine is the tacky white plastic.

I didn’t know what the cover was until I looked behind the upholstery and saw what looked like a horn. Mine is not in the anchor locker.

Hey could you post a picture of that RD?
Our 2002 262 had the horn located in the anchor locker as well.
Curious about the change on your 2003 model year.

Upon closer inspection, my horn is definitely closer to the bow anchor locker. I cannot reach it from inside the helm storage compartment.

Ok. Roger that. You had me perplexed for a second as I had never seen the horn mounted back by the helm where you mentioned. Glad we are all on the same page. Now if we can just get FriDaz293 to locate his. 8-)

293 Horn is located near the starboard mid-cleat. Access may be through the helm access panel located in the head.

Wiring harness diagrams may help as well.

I was wondering if that could of been it near the cleat, I guess at some point it was removed because nothing is behind that vent. Thanks for all the help.
