Since we have so many Northern IL / Southern WI boaters, I thought this may be of interest: The Chicago SeaRay dealership (owned by Skipper Buds for many years now) is no longer. Back in the day, this was a legendary high volume dealership. Odd that this location was closed during such a hot boat sales market.
Sad to see such an iconic dealership close.
Any former Chicago Sea Ray customers on here? If so, let's hear your stories.

Re: Chicago SeaRay Closed
Marine Max bought skipper buds. So that might have to do with it. Honestly I can't remember the last new or even old SeaRay that I've seen on the water other than my 2 buddies. Yes they will never learn. SeaRay has had issues lately. Plus Brunswick was trying to sell them. So sucks we are losing dealers. In Branson they are gone as well.

Re: Chicago SeaRay Closed
MarineMax the Sea Ray dealer on table rock shut its doors at the end of 2019 as well. I figured it was just because they do not sell well in the under 30ft range. But it’s been a long time coming for sea Ray. They took a lot of cost saving/drop in quality measures after the crash of 2009. Sad to see another small business fail but crazy they couldn’t make it after the year this has been for boat sales.
