Electrical - 2006 226 Mercruiser

After a nice day on the water I went to flush my engine . When I turned the key to start I had nothing / no gauges, no starter click, no radio. Oddly though bilge pump, blower, Nav lights functional. At a loss - where do I start. 1st thing I did was pressed reset on 50 amp fuse on engine (6.2 Mercruiser). Batteries are both good

Check the 90 A fuse block on the starter
P/N 84-863657A1 or what ever the latest P/N is for your boat
I keep a spare. There a way to check by turning the key and check the alternator lead do a search of MarineEngine.com for mercruiser. Good luck

Make sure the shifter is in neutral and the kill strap is in place.

yep, sounds like the neutral safety switch. rock that shitfer back and forth a couple of times

As to the shifter it was the 1st thing I checked - definitely in neutral
