98’ 200 Trolling Motor?

I have a 98’ 200 and was wondering if anyone has had any experience mounting a trolling motor on a cobalt?
I’m wanting to mount a bow mount trolling motor so I can take it out to do some fishing during the off season. I’m going to do a quick release mount so it can be removed easily. What I’m trying to figure out is what shaft length I’ll need and some ideas for mounting locations.

Trolling Motor and Cobalt....you don't hear those two words together in a single sentence very often Mike. You have interesting taste my friend.

Haha. I figured it would be an unwelcome and disgraceful (not to mention, sacreligious) topic to bring up, but I thought I’d try, nonetheless.
Granted, anything that I do is all going to be reversible (i.e. somewhat natural looking with minimal high quality hardware). That way any remnants of my “disgraceful activities” would be removed without any unsightly or permanent damage. In perfect world, I’d just buy a separate dedicated bass boat, but I can only work with what I have/am able to afford... I was just hoping that I could go about this in a way that would be acceptable to both sides of the proverbial fence...A sort common ground type thing....

Have you looked into the stern drive mounted electric trolling motors? Minimal impact on the boat itself there...

Elkhunter2372... That’s actually not a bad idea. I’ve looked at motor mounted TM’s a long time ago for a different boat but they were far too expensive for my budget. I just looked and at them again and they are actually cheaper than most bow mounted. I’ll have to do some research and dig a little deeper into those.

I’ve seen them in action and they seem to work well...maybe not as well as a bow mounted for maneuvering tight around trees and stuff but for the casual fisherman who primarily does water sports rather than fish...it seems to be maybe an alternative that doesn’t mess up boat itself.
