VP Rudder Indicator?

While I have done many mods to my R5, I am less comfortable when it comes to drilling holes in things - especially the transom!

I purchased the VP rudder indicator kit from cobalt, wired it up, and confirmed it showes properly on the Garmin. I have not yet mounted it as the correct position is not obvious.

Has anyone added the kit/have the kit on an R series (ideally an R5)? If so, would you be able to take/post a bunch of pictures of the mounting location?
