Ok, so getting everything ready at the slip for the new R6 and was just checking some measurements. The boat (fixed arch) has a bridge clearance of 102", which I'm assuming they are talking about the top white navigation light there. I measured from the bottom of the beam on the roof (green circle) to the dock, and that comes out to 114"...I *think* I'll be ok there as I have about a foot to spare. I'm worried about the brace on the left side of the slip (red circle) as it's much lower and may come into contact with the arch.

1. Any concerns here?
2. If this thing doesn't fit, how long can I safely store the boat in the water until I can get someone to adjust the lift or I find a new slip? The bottom is white gelcoat, in case that matters.

Won't know till it's on the lift. I think it will be out of your way though.

I guess worst case, I could fill the ballast tanks to make it sit lower in the water. ha!

Just take the brace off and move it over to the dock post. Whos going to know?

I was going to say cut it and just make it smaller triangle.

Use an L bracket instead of an angle? It depends on how much modification you want/need to make to the post and beam.

How rough does the water get around your dock? If there is wave action, the lift will rise and fall and could damage your boat even if there is enough static clearance.

Bridge clearance means the height of the boat is measured while sitting in the water, not up on a lift. Meaning height from the waterline to the highest point on the top. That makes it hard to know just how much height you’ll need until your boat is on the lift in your slip. Bridge Clearance isn’t much help as a measurement all on its own.

I have a feeling that you are going to need a taller slip.

Keep in mind with the R6 on the lift, those bunks won't be near that high.

Caution----- I'd have a lift company check your hull measurements against the lift bunks. Looks like its setup for a back in. They look awfully far apart to keep the keel from hitting the cross members.

Yeah, I am going to measure then inner bunks on my trailer this weekend and move them in to that distance before sitting the boat up there.

I figure I'll raise the boat as far as I can without blowing the ceiling off the place, which will work until I can find a bigger/taller slip. I'm assuming as long as the exhaust is out of the water, I'll be ok.

Be careful when raising the boat. At some point, just a little more air takes is up all at once.

This. Maybe its not rough in your area but I would certainly consider this aspect.

I had considered the waves but we are on the inside of a floating dock in a no-wake zone which is also in a cove. The dock rises and fallswith the water levels, so I'm hoping this won't be an issue. I'll definitely account for that.

Even in a no-wake cove there can be waves from storms and the occasional inconsiderate/A-hole boater. I'd make sure you have a least a foot of clearance from the bottom of your roof to any point on your boat's top.

I'm also a bit concerned about how long your floats look with the forward drive. is the picture just deceiving? My poly tanks do not extend past the bunks.
