R6 Surf WAVE tsunami

I haven't seen many videos from real people out there so here's a quick test of my surf wave from this past weekend. It's AT LEAST as competitive with a Mastercraft or Malibu, if not a little better, IMHO.

Not as good as an X24. I surf all the time on an X24.

But you have a boat that is more dual purpose

I think it's pretty hard to tell from a video how much "push" a wave has and how wide it is. I'm betting the R6 wave is improved from the R5 but I think we'll know much more once people who have surfed behind dedicated surf boats (Mastercraft, Nautique, etc.) and the R6 start posting comments. It will be nice to read some professional reviews as well. While I'd like to go up a boat size, I'll wait for reviews before deciding on a surf model. Currently my group of friends surf behind a 23' Centurion and water-ski, wakeboard and hang out on my R3. So, we seem to have the best of both worlds. It wouldn't make sense for me to buy an R6 if it couldn't throw up a surf wave that matched the Centurion. We'd just never use it unless my kids wanted to surf and my friend (with the Centurion) wasn't around.

Likewise...I have too many friends with dedicated surf boats. I will stick with our standard R5.

Well, for us upgrading from a 21' Chaparral it was a no brainer to go with an R6 Surf. You couldn't even order an R5 when we ordered so we were either too late for the party (it's a theme here) OR the R6 will make us happy. I'm betting on the latter. Our friends have an R5 surf and a Tige RZX 22, so hoping to at least be able to try out all 3 waves for some perspective. :)
