I can’t be the only whiskey drinker on this forum. I am a novice cigar smoker.
The inspiration for this post is Jameson and a Leaf by Oscar corojo.
So what are your favorites? Mine Middleton
What’s your everyday drink? Jameson and Jameson Black Barrel for a change
I’m a Irish whiskey man.
I’m too knew to the cigar world to have a favorite.

Lagavulin 16 is my go to, with Green Spot Irish Whisky subbing in often when I'm in a mellower mood.
Mmm. Whisky.

Certainly no aficionado but have always like Rocky Patel's cigars and prefer maduro wrappers.
My go to right now is Woodford Reserve. So many good brown spirits out there

The cigar selection is overwhelming. That’s why I started the thread.
Whiskey, I’ve come to realize my Irish blood loves the nectar of Ireland.

I like a moderately priced bourbon. Woodford Reserve, Larceny...for cigars, I started out mild and went to stronger cigars, darker wrappers (maduro) and usually buy small quantities.
Perdomo Lot 23 is nice, Artuo Fuente makes some good ones. Romeo and Julieta Anniversario maduro reserve...
You can either ask the "tobbaconist" for recommendations, or look at some on line sellers and see how they describe their products.
You'll get a feel for what to try. Also size and shape...ring gauges are given in 64ths of an inch FYI...took me a while to learn that.
Lots to learn, lots to enjoy!
Good luck.

Mike, you are right. I bought some Boneshaker War Hammers. 6x60. Big and strong. I don’t care for a 60. I like 50 although I recently bought some of the torpedo’s and I like that too.

Bourbon guy here. Eagle Rare is currently my jam but being that part of our lake is in Lynchburg, TN...we have to dabble in some JD occasionally.

It was my sorry attempt at a joke that didn’t land. The most expensive whiskey accompanied by the cheapest cigars.

If you're starting out, try Macanudo. Reasonable price, well made. Always burn evenly with a good draw.

I’m a scotch guy. Prefer the Islay’s....nothing beats a finger of Lagavulin or Ardbeg.
Cigar wise, a Liga Privada No. 9 ends the night well.
