Cobalt Colors Classic or Modern

Since my build date is about a month out I though I would ask this forum for opinions on color choices. Classic navy side with white hull and color or choice boot stripe seems to be a very popular choice. The Shale (grey) seems to be a popular choice I have seen a lot in new boats but is it just a fad? Also, do you like preferred colored bottom hulls or white? There is no right or wrong answer just what looks sharp to you!
The picture below is the new Links graphic design that will be on my boat. My dealer told me that the new graphics scheme should be on the Cobalt website in the next week or so to play around with. Sorry it this has been asked but I didn't see any other topics related to colors.

I'm on record as being a big classic color on boats guy. White hulls with single/double stripes. Hides a lot and looks sharp IMO.
However, some of the color schemes I've seen on the lakes and especially in this forum have me coming around. Especially those blacks...
I think that red looks sharp and I love the tower with it. Just do what I do and obsess over it relentlessly until you can sleep.

Red is sharp but then again its my favorite color.. for a colored side it hides spots and stains well ..
I am wondering if a red hull bottom could be tougher to clean or remove certain stains. Maybe someone with a color hull bottom will chime in and add what they have experience on that .
But you have my vote!!

I like them all

the new and older classic style. I saw a CS3 on table rock last year that had a powered blue colored hull and it looked awesome. I would get that in a heartbeat. Not sure how the colored hull would impact stains and such. might hide the scum line a bit better?

These pictures are from there facebook page and represent the design of the graphics/line coloring that is available on my order. Although it is extremely sharp looking in their photographs it is probably not my color combination of choice. I am still up in the air on colors at this point as I haven't had to make a firm decision.

I like my white bottom red side black stripe. But I LOVE the baby blue hull side with Navy bottom. There's a couple at the marina and they are gorgeous.

It didn't take me long, and I knew it immediately. About a day of scanning dealer ads to come across this combination, and I never thought about changing it once..
Love Cobalt blue, and Cobalt's navy looks different in the sun and shade.
So just look through internet dealer pictures instead of doing color comparisons on Cobalt's website. Real pictures are a better comparison.
When it hits you, you will know.
BTW, for a surf boat, that red on white is pretty hot, and I could see that in my yard wth no problem..

They're in the middle of changing the site over I just went there to check it out and there are some new pictures up of the R5 surf and the interactive portion of the build mod isn't working. They are updating all the settings. Looks like they're switching over to Roswell marine tower speakers from the Samson. Doesn't make sense since they're already using JL why not use JL tower speakers.

Agreed! It is near the top of color choices. Tusc, I know you trailer your boat, does the dark bottom hull show any road rash from rocks or other road debris? That was one of my concerns with a non white bottom hull.

Maybe they are going back to Roswell for towers? I agree why don't they use jl or wet sounds? I'm currently working with them on my tower I'll ask. Also the dealer told me the 200&220 are going away and renaming them to something he didn't know.
I had a all red boat. Loved it. It was no harder to clean it gets dirty like the rest of them. I couldn't use hull cleaner on it for some reason it didn't touch it. I could only use toilet bowl cleaner? It worked great and it was cheap and smelled good. I personally love a colored hull. That's why I sold my good ole white with a blue boot stripe boat last year for this one. I missed my blue 200. I love that red. I prob go with black again. It never looks ugly. I always walk in the garage even with the tower hanging from the ceiling now and I say dam that's purdy:-)
