New to the Forum, first ever boat owned

Hey all,
Well, I'm about as much of a newbie as I guess you can be. I just purchased the first boat I've ever owned. I'm 49 years old and have always wanted to buy one and experience what I imagined would be the absolute serenity of being out on the water with zero to do, and all day to do it. Let's just say it's exactly what I thought it would be; heaven. We found a great ole 1995 200 with a freshly rebuilt DP VP 5.7Gi. Although I don't have a lot of context/experience that I can use to judge this boat, I am in love with her...like maybe more than I love my children. It's really close. Haha!
We'll be on the water through the end of June before I fly up to Alaska and work on the cabin I purchased last summer. Yes, I'm trying to jamb as much into the second half of my life as I can because the first half I spent working my a** off. It's time to play a little more.
