Hello,
Happy to be here!
I've been looking for a small boat for for our local lake here in Vermont....
Just found this on Facebook marketplace yesterday and bought it. The owner purchased it brand new back in 96 and his wife got annoyed at him so it sat covered in his garage for last 25 years.
1996, 80 Original Hours for 25 Grand... (Not sure if I paid too much BUT don't really care, lol)
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! So excited!!

Wow BarryC. Nice find….especially with 80 hours. That could literally qualify as a rare garage find.
That 350 is a solid engine.
Make sure you change all filters, fluids, batteries, plugs, and impeller. Check your trailer bearings and brakes too along with new tires.
And welcome aboard mate!

Nice. Congrats

If you don't think you paid too much then you didn't. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks! Do what A7 said and let's get her on the water. DO NOT go on the water before you do that stuff.

Frankly, I just got lucky. I've been looking online for over a month and stumbled across it on Facebook Marketplace. The guy listed it just one day before I called. In fact, the seller already had people lined up tp look at it this weekend, I KNEW it wouldn't last so I jumped on it!
It's out in Wisconsin (around the corner from you) BUT I'm in Vermont so working on getting it here now. I'm not sure IF I'm gonna drive out and get it OR have it shipped, still working on those details.
Sometimes it pays to be luckier than good.

Yes todays market you can't wait. Just have to buy it unseen. And hope it's good.
I saw the Michigan tag on it. Did you check on shipping prices yet. The only problem with sitting so long Maybe the wheel bearings and tires. You could have issues on the trip. What city is it in? Again congrats. Hopefully sitting didn't hurt all the seals. They can get dry. Cross your fingers

One of the core members flew to Seattle to look at a 272 with a blue engine and it made some pretty bad knocking noises and the gel was beat up on the bottom from the dry stack fork lift. He walked away but it was sold the next week. Someone isn't going to be very happy if it shows up in there driveway after buying it site unseen. That's the only risk. I try and get videos of it running if I can't get eyes on it.

Its being sold on consignment out of a high end car dealership. The FIRST thing I did was check their online reviews and was actually surprised to see most were very good.
I'm working on shipping quotes now but not having much luck at the moment. I don't want to wait 3 weeks for it so may just have to take the 30hr round trip myself.
The dealer already replaced the trailer bearings and got her up and running on the water last week. The last boat I bought "sight unseen" was my 50' Sea Ray down in Florida and I wrote a check for 1/2 million dollars so I'm not really sweating this one frankly, lol...
Thanks for the well wishes.

A 1996 200 with 82 hours? Wow. It looks well kept, and nearly new. Great find, and congratulations. Enjoy.
