282 With SS Arch Bimini Top Storage Questions

Hi Gang - I have the cockpit and aft bimini tops along with two of canvas pieces that I'm assuming are for rolling up and storing the canvas tops on the arch. Would like to be able to store these on the arch whenever I want to run faster that 25ish and/or there's any good wind. I've already had to replace the aft bimini stainless steel strap clips because I was running too fast on a windy day. One of my stanchions up front has come apart a time or two as well, those Saturn Industries ones that have a tensioner which evidently they don't make anymore. These tops are great when you are parked out on the lake in the hot sun but not so much when you want to run a bit faster than what feels like a crawl. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to use the front one. Not exactly sure how the rear one works either but by looking at it you can see the velcro that is used to hold it to the arch and the hole for the top running light. I've scoured the site for any info and only found a limited post which includes the not so in depth info from the owners manual:

Need to understand how to attach these and have included pics. Also if anyone knows a source for those stanchions that would help too as I'm probably going to need one if not both of those eventually. Again any help / insight would be greatly appreciated.

I got nothing and run mine well over 50mph. Talked to Matt he had a 282 but no tower and he hated the binimi so he never used it.

Thanks BB - I'm almost at the point of ditching them because they are more often a PITA than they are worth. That is until it's like 90+ and I am coving out on the lake counting heads, only one sober in the group not in the water.

Granted im up north where normally we only get 1 or so super hot weekends a year we never used to deploy ours. If it wasn't on the tower it would be hanging in the rafters. My wife would just pop up an umbrella. We keep big golfing ones on the boat.
