The Sof-Trac mat on my R6 Surf swim platform is pulling off on one side. Is it an easy fix or should I have the dealership repair/replace? Thanks

When I had that problem with Sea Dek they told me to use acetone, or nail polish remover. Put it on the floor and the sticky part of the mat and it will make the mat sticky again. Hold it in place for 30 sec or so. Very easy fix. I fixed mine at the beginning of last season and no issues since.
Hope that helps

I'm having the same issue but mine is actually starting to separate at the seams (where the black lines are). Dealer is filing a warranty claim with Cobalt so I will hopefully know something soon. Looks like I got a really bad batch or install (or both) on my marine mat. They are going to replace when I winterize as it seems to be a pretty big job to remove, clean it up, and replace so they want me to finish the season and close things down with the new mat. Fingers crossed.

Oh it sucks to remove. Making it stick is all about prep. I'll days they didn't clean and prep the surface good enough. Or marine mat changed adhesive or something. Mines been 3 years in the garage and looks brand new yet

Just had mine replaced under warranty on our 2018 R7. Only had one piece lifting up on the starboard side of the small mat but dealer replaced all. Our dealer here in Ny gives us fantastic support.

Our dealer warned us it is only a matter of time when the Sof-Trac lifts off when we ordered

I’ve heard the same thing - they all lift off at some point, much faster if the boat is left tied up at the dock.

Dang, so was cleaning the boat last night and noticed that the mat on my swim platform is also lifting off. The material isn't separating like it is in the cabin but the backside glue is essentially gone. Any ideas on what to use to just tack it down to get through the season?

Seadek comes with a 3M pressure-sensitive film applied, likely something like 300LSE. You could call and ask if they recommend a specific film, perhaps?

That's interesting stuff. I bet it holds like glue

My dealer actually advised against it when I tried to order

Have you tried acetone? That made the seadek sticky again, they advised against adding other adhesive since it will be harder to ever remove. Seadek should last a minimum of 7 years and likely much longer if probably cared for. Of course Cobalt uses marine mat so not sure about that.
But if acetone works on sea dek I bet it works on marine mat.
