Looking for a 262

John if this is the wrong place for this thread please feel free to move it.
I know how bad we all are about hijacking threads and I wanted to start one with a specific title so I could come back to it as a reference. ColinC posted a 262 for sale in Canada, and I swear I've looked everywhere!
Last summer before I bought my 240 I had an opportunity to buy a 262 with a Bimini Arch. I passed on the deal even though it was a great opportunity because it wouldn't fit in my slip. It looks like I'm getting a new slip this winter, so I should have bought the durn thing anyway.
Now after visiting with Aslan and seeing some of the other 262's that are out there, I have the hots for one. If the right boat and the right deal comes along I'll try to buy it and sell my 240.
So I would like to ask you guys to keep your eyes open around your marinas, lakes and friends, and if you see one that comes up for sale please let me know!
My preference is an '03, '04 or '06 blue or black 262, but a red one would not be out of the question. It does have to have a big block, Bimini Arch, captains call, and an extended swim deck. If it has the aft filler cushions that would be good too because I could sell them to Aslan for a lot of money!
Thanks y'all

Hey I will certainly buy those off ya! Just name your price my friend.
I'll keep an eye out for you, Yatmsn. Hopefully one surfaces very soon.
Can't say enough good things about the 2000 thru 2007 262/263's. Took me 4 boat's to get it right.

Oh wow. No problem. Thought you may be in the $60k range for those cushions.
I'll write the check tonight if you can have them to me by midnight tonight

Imho, steer clear of that one in Seattle.
She's been ridden hard.
Skeg is cracked.
Outdrive missing paint, anodes, and caps.
Steering wheel leather cracking
Helm Dash well worn
Engine compartment protector panel cracked off
No aft walk thru cushions
Over 1050 hours!!
May also be a saltwater boat.

I'll keep an eye out north of the border for you. Most. Canadian boats are freshwater and our seasons are relatively short, so hours are usually low.
Export / import and shipping aren't nearly as challenging (or expensive) as you might think.
Let's see how fast we can spend your $$$$!

2003 262
- freshwater
- 190 hours
- 496 mag
- bimini
- mooring cover
- bow and cockpit covers
- boathouse kept
- maintained with an open checkbook
- white hulk with black stripes
- black canvas
Don't know about CC and swim platform. Dealer is asking low 40s. Mid 30s should take it.

Colin the one you have is white and I really want a blue or black boat, but it sounds really nice.
Aslan the Connecticut boat is right on the coast.

Thx SKSM. I figured as such.
These models (when property equipped) sell like hot cakes. It was the story of my life for 3 years--either can't find a fully loaded one ( or when you do it's been abused) ...or find one having 90% of what you're seeking in great condition & it was sold instantly. Our yacht brokers were no help either--even with our request to ship from anywhere in the country to PA.
YTMSN, keep your head up though--the folks on this site will find you your boat.
