Deposit in. Building my boat. What should one expect to pay in these frothy times?

Unfortunately paying retail seems to be not uncommon, whereas you might be able to deal 20% off a few years ago. I'd shy away from paying more than list price, but I've heard of dealers marking boats up beyond list price occasionally too.

Just curious, did you not agree on a price before you put down money?
Did they give you an estimated delivery date?

I’ve had several Cobalts, a few large Sea Rays (RIP) and a few Formulas. Currently have a 2018 35’ Formula.

Refundable deposit down while I build the boat for Spring Delivery.

Why would you agree on a price before you buy a boat? That's crazy. Just order and pay for it when it comes in! They will let you know what it costs in the end!
