Thanks for viewing my post. I just found this site and thought I would give it a shot. Poor timing but I am trying to purchase my last boat. Looking for a fresh water 293 with twin small block engines. Could live with big blocks but they are overkill for my purposes. Trailer a plus as well as proximity to Lake Erie. I'm convinced that my boat is out there. Thanks for the post and happy boating.

Hey qk. So glad you found us!

Where do you boat on Lake Erie?
What boats have you owned in the past with this being your last?

And welcome aboard mate!

Thanks for the welcome. Primarily boat the western end of Lake Erie. Boats have included the following:

1960 Coronet 19' Sedan Cruiser with 75 hp. Evinrude in the family from 1960-1992. Purchased from family member in 1975 Very interesting boat built in Denmark

1979 Sea Ray SRV 220 with 260 Mercruiser. Purchased from original Lake Cumberland owner in perfect shape.

1982 SRV 195 with 260 Mercruiser. Purchased new by a friend and sold to me with 231 hrs. on it a few years back. 50+ mph but too small for both me and the lake.

1997 Checkmate 22' with big block and Bravo 1 Purchased it from a friend with 330 hrs. Kept inside stored at lake Cumberland. Like new. Plenty fast and fun but not the vessel for the big lake.

25' Regal 250 Royal with 260 Mercruiser. I was third owner but knew first owner who kept boat like new and always inside and rack stored. Nice boat but circumstances dictated sale.

Looking for a 293 since it is the biggest Cobalt that my marina can rack store, A friend has one there so I know that they can handle it.

Welcome.
I've never seen a 293 with twins on a trailer.

Thanks for the encouragement. Hoping to find one before I'm too old to use it. When the gentleman at my marina purchased his a few years ago in Michigan it came with a trailer so it is a possibility.

We bought our 293 just last year with twins and generator and Trailer! We love it so much we almost bought another lol but it was single engine with no trailer and just didn't have any power (the engine wasn't running right). I think you should be able to find another, just might have to widen the search (if you haven't already)

Thanks for the input. i just spoke with a dealer and they think that I will be able to find one but may not be anytime soon. I did see a nice looking one but only a single engine. May be the one you looked at since ad stated that engine was replaced and has low hours. Found another nice 2 owner boat but it has spent one 50 hour season in salt water out of 325 hours. After speaking with multiple service advisors I am passing on that one out of an abundance of caution.

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate the help. The good news is that I'm getting some feedback from other Cobalt owners and consensus is that there is a decent chance of locating the boat I'm after. Thanks again.
