CDA Idaho August Boat Show

A couple of people asked me to send pics of the north Idaho boat show that we entered our 72 Cobalt into and some of the other boats. This to many at the show was considered a strictly wood boat program however it was put on by the ACBS ( Antique and Classic Boat Society ) and many of the wood boats that were there were built from 2002 through 2010. Don't get me wrong there were some pre 1976 wood boats there and no matter what year they were there was many beautiful boats.
There were many folk that didn't seem to think that a fiberglass boat shouldn't have been there, and I only saw one boat which was the only other glass boat that was there that got much better acceptance than ours was nothing more than a tornado that was strapped to a surf board lol.
Don't get me wrong there were many people that did in fact enjoy seeing the first production model Cobalt sold to Americans.
I'm going to throw several pics so I hope you enjoy. Ours starts first.
Thanks Dale and Rose.

That is very cool Dale and Rose

I've never been to a boat show on the water. Looks like you had a great time. Again thanks for sharing.

That's way cool. I would have walked around in a daze looking at all those fine boats, and I think yours is way cool too. And I'm surprised Cobalt can't find any records than they have.
I bought an old aluminum cruiser to restore this winter and went into the place that built it back in the 50's. (mine is a '51) They couldn't tell me anything, and had zero information on it.
Also, I'm surprised some of those boats don't have bumpers between them and the dock! If I owned a wooden boat that looked like any of those I'd treat it like soft candy...

Thanks for the share..
I looked at a Cobalt in Cour Diane Idaho at the "Stan Craft" dealer this year..
I couldn't believe the modern tech in the wood boats.. amazing stuff.
Love to see Stan craft build a Cobalt model like they did with Mastercraft

Thanks all the show had maybe 40 boats, and the dock at the Coeur d'Alene Resort boasts the worlds longest floating dock.
Didn't respond with any more because we took the boat out yesterday to actually go for a cruise. Saturday we went to a coffee and donut
run to the golf course floating green also owned by Duane Hagadone so I thought I would show a couple shots.
