Can anyone roll me the part number for the port side engine cover gas strut on a 2004 250 with the electric lift on the starboard side? I can’t read the numbers on it. Also the ski kicker struts (2). Thanks

The engine hatch strut was 36” extended. I’m trying an 80# one. I’ll report my findings next week.

Before I order, can anyone with a similar size Cobalt post the numbers from your gas strut. I need the pressure number, in Newton’s is fine. An 80# strut would say 0355N.
Please help if you can!

I just got an answer back from Cobalt. For those who need one, Cobalt says SL-29-70 is the correct one.

Glad Cobalt got back to you. I guess we don't have many 250 owners on here regularly.

I Guess they are the same as mine. I ordered some from a company and never got them. So Becareful where you order from. I was also going up to 100 as I think Mines to heavy for 70.

If the website looks like this and this address or even close to it don't order from them. They're are like 3 different sites just like this. Don't.

Thank you for the info BBC. Of course, Cobalt doesn’t sell them. I contacted BacktoBoating.com yesterday. They sell Atwood struts. They have the Atwood SL-29-80 struts in stock. That’s the brand that Cobalt put on it originally, so I ordered one. I also went a bit stronger than the 70’s, but the original 17 year old 70 is almost strong enough, so I’m hoping a new 80 will be ok. If not, I can get a 100# later. The Atwood’s also use the same size 3/8” rod as the original, the first set I ordered on Amazon had a thinner rod, just over .300 I believe. And I had to order 2, I was able to send them back.
Thanks for getting back with me, I guess it’s not a common request, but I like those small things to be on fixed the boat. I’ll report back how well it works.
I have a sticky captains call solenoid on one side to address next…. I think a good cleaning will take care of it. 😁
