Battery Charger

Can someone post some pics of how their battery charger was installed? I was going to just order it with the new boat, but I can save $350 buying on Amazon and probably install it myself in no time. From the few pics I've seen, it looks like a pretty simple install, but curious where they ran the wires.

If you are going with the same charger, just run them behind the engine.

Well I'd also like to know where they mounted the plug in. Seeing someone else's installation would make it all easier.

Thanks I forgot about that thread. That is a great thread with a bunch of good info in it.
Maybe a update to the box anchor is needed!
Thanks for posting the link krob!

One consideration is where to place the plug. Mine faces outward on the Stern, and is exposed to waves coming up over my boat when docked -as I don’t use a lift. Makes me nervous, So I brought the line back into the engine area where it is sure to remain dry. Not a big deal - as I only connect to it once a month.

Post a picture of your walk through and the bench seat. put the plug in the walk through. Or in the bench seat under it in the fiberglass.

Mine is located here:
As you can see, that is also where I put my remote trim switch.

Here is what it looks like on the inside. This is not my boat but it represents what I did. I bought a 1 foot extension cord from amazon and cut the male end off. The charger plugs into this short extension.

I mounted my exterior plug portside due to the existing dockside electrical connection. I’ve seen pictures of the exterior plug mounted in the starboard walkthru on the side of the engine hatch, like B58’s, and also on the triangular shaped starboard bulkhead. Either works well.
The portside battery hookup was easy due to location. A little more work for the other battery. I routed the charging wire to the starboard battery above and aft of the engine in an existing wire bundle.
The exterior Noco receptacle mounted to port has a three prong plug which accepts the three prong plug from the Noco Charger.
Very clean install.

I was thinking about putting it over there as well. My battery charger ended up fitting better on the starboard side so that's where I put the plug. If I was charging from the port side like you are, I would definitely put it over there like you did.

Does the stock charger have leads to both batteries? I suppose you can accomplish the same by wiring to one battery, and selecting "Combine" on the blue sea, but not ideal...
