Cobalt 275 head will not add water during flush

Nanaboat is new to the forum and asked a question in the chat session regarding an issue they are having flushing the head of their 275. I'm posting it here for further visibility:
From nanaboat:
"I have a 2010 275 Cobalt with electric head. It will flush, but no water comes into the bowl. We manually add water, and it works. The boat was out of the water for a year. We must be missing something. We assume the water is fresh water and there are no leaks. Please help!"
Welcome nanaboat and advice will be coming forth shortly!
Btw, for grins, I trust you checked that the potable water container is filled and any valves leading from it to the head are open.
...and finally, I have a switch on the TRANSOM that must be turned on to receive water from either the transom shower or for the pump to operate pushing water to the head or sink in the cabin. This is in ADDITION to the water pressure switch in the cabin location.
