Loud noise under swim platform over 2000 RPM in my R7

Hi
I have owned my R7 for a few years now. My wife and I love the boat … except for the very loud noise that begins at about 2000 RPM. Our dealer says it is a resonance caused by the exhaust vibrating in the cavity beneath the the platform.
Is there anything that can be done to reduce this annoying sound?

Do you have a Volvo engine? If so the exhaust on Volvo’s doesn’t come out the props like on the Merc’s. It comes out the cavitation plate above the props so as the boat comes up on plane the cavitation plate comes up out of the water making more noise. That could be what you are hearing. My Volvo is pretty loud right as the boat is coming up on plane but it quiets down some as I speed up. Just turn the radio up!

I found that on our R5 adjusting the trim gets helps with the ear-shattering pitch of the prop noise.
