Found My "HO"

As some may know we sold our 282 with twin 8.1 Volvo's last year..

We absolutely loved the 282 for the size and speed. Plus twins are easy to park, and sound mean underway. But the conditions were right to sell , and go after the model, and combo I have wanted for a long time.

As I placed my used boat Cobalt 272 order last September :D , I had no idea that searching for a certain combos would be this difficult. I have traveled (flown) thousands of miles, and on the 4th attempt I finally found the "One" thanks to the Core here.

She is a 2008 272 with a 496HO, Swept back 1.81 ratio Bravo3-X drive 24P props, Corsa exhaust. (325 hours). She was nicely kept by a Meticulous owner, and recently upgraded with new sea grass carpeting.

Although the water last weekend was treacherous with Hyacinth debris ( yes the Delta is a swamp this time of year ) for full speed runs, she did cruise nicely at 42mph @ 3300 rpm . ( ill give a full performance captains report later. )

The only option missing I like is trim tabs, which I will add this winter. The name Change ( USCG documented ) is underway, and that ceremony is planned for her spring awakening as well !!

Here is some last weekend pics.

Oh wow. She’s a beaut Matt! Arch and everything.
Classy color scheme. Great lines. Love the options. Your persistence paid off my friend. You both look great in her too!

Btw, why was the previous owner selling?

Thanks,
The previous owner is looking to travel with his wife, and felt it was time to sell with her limited use. He was a 4 time Cobalt owner, and retired Air force (they are known to be pretty picky right pal! )

He was concerned I boat in salt water until I explained the California Delta.

That is a pretty boat. Congratulations on finding what you were looking for. Hard to do in today's market.

I have to admit being a little sad the 282 with 8.1 Volvo club is losing a member :D

Have fun on the new boat!

Clean color combo, and the boat shows very clean in the pics. Can't beat that H.O.!

Yeah it’s pig tailed for a heater as well. Actually drops and holds to 12.6 so I’m not terrified of leaving it plugged in.
