Cup holders coming loose

Post by TwoBurgers »

Gents, Any of you know what Cobalt does to "attach" the inset cup holders in to the boat? I would guess some type of commercial adhesive, but I thought I would check here before using something like Gorilla glue or the like.
Thanks,
Chris

I have aftermarket cup holders which have a sticky back under the lip. Paper is still on them and I have no plans on removing the paper. I like to be able to remove the cup holders for cleaning and it allows another access point.

Another Access point??. I thought i was the only one who thought.. (stash spot) as I put both sets of keys in the console behind me if we are away from the boat... haha.

I don't like the cup holder coming loose.

Especially when foamies/coolies are used. It's embarrassing when they fly out with drink.

I use four dabs of silicone. Works like a charm and you can always peel off or get access if you want and then just reapply.

They use silicone like glue on these boats. Should be silicone in. I like to be able to remove them as well. It made running wires much easier.

A few dots of clear marine silicone it is. Thanks AsLan7! Definitely better than Gorilla glue. I too agree with how I feel when one comes up with a drink.
