Cobalt 240 2006 in France

Post by Batols »

Hello everyone,
my name is Romain and I live in France, my dad bought a cobalt in 2006, after 10 years of use, he decided to go bigger with a fourwinns H350 2016. Being literally passionate about the Cobalt brand, I bought the 240 and did a complete engine restoration.
The boat is in superb condition, I take the greatest care of it, it is motorized with a V8 5.0l GXI Volvo Penta.
I sail on Lake Annecy in Haute Savoie. I am the only cobalt boat on the lake, very very few Cobalts in France, there is not a boating culture like in the United States and French boats are really cheap... upholstery, style, storage, there is no can't come close to a cobalt...

Here is pics from this summer!

See you soon, and long live United States and Cobalt! Romain, French Fan.

Thank you very much for your welcome. I also wanted to show you my latest achievement, a unique model in 1/9 scale, the perfect replica of my cobalt, it was one of my dreams and I did it, it's really cool, can't wait to take pictures this summer with the real one! Tell me what you think, I know, I'm a little crazy😂

That's really cool. Where did you get the hull and stuff? 3d printed?

Hey batols. So glad you found us!

Beautiful pics…like something out of a Cobalt catalog.
And you are one serious Cobalt owner to build a scale model of their boat. I believe you’re the first on this site to do that my friend. The only thing it’s missing is the Cobalt lettering.

Are you able to provide an engine pic? (of the larger Cobalt :D )

Welcome aboard mate!

Hey "big block", the hull was modeled by an acquaintance who is a naval architect, I sent him photos, measurements and cobalt documents for this. Then, yes 3D printer, putty, sanding, painting etc 1 year quietly to get there, and it's not over I would like to refine some details, but there is also the big one that takes me time 😂 and my wife, too 😁
I have created an Instagram page where you can have access to all the construction, do not hesitate to go for a walk 👍
I'm on Instagram as @rccobalt240bowrider. https://www.instagram.com/invites/conta ... nt=l9b94nw

Hi Aslan7, yes absolutely! I still have to manage this Cobalt logo ahaha 😄
Here are additional photos including one of the engine, it is not of very good quality but I would do it again. 👍
Thank you again for your compliments, it's great pleasure and sorry for my bad English. 😬

Great post Batols. Thanks again for uploading those. You could probably have a side business making miniature 3D boats for folks here. 8-)
