Not sure if we have a dedicated Bravo 4 drive thread yet so I figured I’d start one. I believe there was some discussion earlier though in a thread with bbp. I’ll try to find it. And maybe Cobalt will offer one someday. :D

In the meantime, here is the article from Boating mag this month..

How is the lawsuit going that Volvo brought against Mercruiser regarding this drive a year and a half ago?

I suspect the suit will follow the same formula as the swim step lawsuit here...Brunswick will get their way on some small patent difference or technicality; there will be a large payout to the offending party which is chump change for Brunswick; the Bravo 4s will continue into production; and the lawyers will walk away with millions (sorry JMD) :|

Ah yes. That jogged my memory Bruce. I thought there was another B4 discussion earlier. We were frustrated that Merc would advertise and test a Bravo 4s drive using a Cobalt yet Cobalt won’t offer that option for consumers (currently) . Bbp brought this up in a B4 thread located here.
