USB ports not working
Neither USB port in a 2018 R5 is functioning. The starboard one has a blue light, which is illuminated, while the port side has no light feature. Strange that Cobalt would install two different ports. Anyway, everything else electrical in the boat functions and there are no popped breakers. I’m thinking a wire connector has vibrated lose, but can’t explain the blue light being illuminated. I also cannot find any wiring for the boat online. Anyone with a similar issue or diagram info?

Re: USB ports not working
Is the charging feature not working?….playing music thru the USB function not working?.…data transfer function not working?.…or all three?
Have you tried different devices? Tried different cords? Btw do you have an electrical tester? Hopefully narrowing down these questions will help diagnose. Let’s get your fixed!

Yes, the charging feature is not working. Not sure about data transfer or music as the owner had music playing via Bluetooth. We tried 3 different cables and 2 devices.

Re: USB ports not working
If memory serves, the port side (above the head) is the one that connects to the radio. That should stream music and charge a device. The other sockets with the blue lights (at the helm, by the seat in the bow, etc) are charge only. I've never had a problem charging any of my devices but haven't tried my newer iPhone 13pro yet. If the blue light is on (comes on with batteries), I would assume it should be OK.

Re: USB ports not working
On my 2014 R5 there is only one USB on the port side above the glove box. I have found this one is only to transfer music and there is no charge feature in it. Our 2014 does not have any USB chargers at all. I guess it’s too old!
