Been waiting about 6 months to post these pics while enjoying the forum. Finally took delivery of our first Cobalt, an R8 Surf.
Went with the 430 engine. Platinum sound without the tower speakers. We're not really loud music people and my son and I are tall and appreciate the extra headroom. Didn't get the flush toilet. Still unsure if I made the right call there. Having ceramic coating put on this week and SeaDek flooring installed ASAP (supplies are delayed). Going to park her at Lake Texoma, Texas for this year.
I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this forum as it's been a valuable resource for me as I research all things Cobalt.
See you on the lake!

Nice jl02! That's the way you do it. So glad you found us my friend.
You can always add tower speakers later if you feel the need. Once we added ours I'm not sure I would go back to not having them...especially if water sports is your thing. That's all we do for the most part.
How about a pic of that sweet 430 horse power plant you got back there. Really appreciate the other pics.
And welcome aboard mate!

The ceramic coating will definitely help with the water spots. We give ours a quick wipe down every time we put it up on the lift. Takes my son in law about 5 minutes (it’s his main job!). Are you new to surfing?

Nice Boat, all black is pretty slick! We have navy blue with a black boot strip, I thinking whipping it down when we are done is half the fun

Thanks! The boat is currently at the dealer for the ceramic coating this week. Then they're bringing it up to Texoma for me next Saturday. Appreciate the warm welcome!

I grew up waterskiing (with 2 skis or kneeboards) back in the ancient 80's-90's, haha! I'm going to try to learn wakesurfing but not sure my old body has the balance these days.

Beautiful boat! Our R8 surf went into production on April 5. They are telling us first week of June. I am not sure if this is when it will be completed at the factory (which would be 8 weeks to build it) or if it will be shipped and at the dealer the first week of June. Do you know how long it took to complete build once yours went into production?

I'm not exactly sure of the date it went into production. I ordered it October 2022. The completion date moved a couple times and ended up on March 29th, which they did deliver on.

I enjoyed your post JL02. Beautiful boat, I’m sure you’ll enjoy. We also just took delivery, of a 2022 R6 Surf at Possum Kingdom. This forum has been and continues to be super helpful. From the time we got a confirmed build date to delivery was about 7 weeks. The build date was confirmed about 4 months after the order was placed. Our boat is a R6 Surf, VP 380 HP, rotating sunshade, 10” screens, platinum sound (worth it), with trim tabs, power helm seat and many optional upgrades. I would love any advice on building a good surf wave. Out of the box the wave is steep, I’d like to elongate it and make a little less steep. Any advice?
