LED light Strip Falling

Hey All,
New R4. The light strip on the port side bow keep falling off. It's just double sided taped in place. Dealer added tape one time but falling again.
Anybody else having this happen? Surprised this is how Cobalt would secure these lights. Not sure how well double sided tape holds up in heat and it's trying to stick to fabric.
Thanks for any thoughts or ideas.

We had one fall down just behind the captains chair, but it clipped back into place. I'm going to check the others and see if they are secured the same way or with just tape, that would be a little disturbing to find that they had just used some form of tape.

I’ve been wanting add interior LEDs to our boat for some time, but never could find a way to mount them to my satisfaction. Looking forward to any good remedies you guys come up with.

But new speakers!

Replace your courtesy lights.

The new speakers are all set to be installed. I just have to get the boat towed back home from storage.
I also plan to replace the courtesy lights with LEDs. She still wants more LEDs like the cool kids have.

Then I guess it's under water lights and strip lights. And cup holders.

Thanks all,
From what I can tell the light strips in the bow are (were) ONLY held up by a think strip of doubled sided tape.
I talked to me dealer yesterday and he told me that this has now happened to another customer's new R6.
He has reached out to Cobalt to see what they say as far as repairing it.
It just seems like the tape they used will not bond well to the vinyl material they use.
If anybody sees anything different on their boats or has any other idea please let me know.
Thanks!

Double sides tape failing on starboard side of my 2020 r 7 soon after purchase it was an upgrade and I thought cobalt would have installed them better.

I was very surprised...as was my dealer. Super odd they would not build brackets or something. Any ideas on how you are going to try and fix it? Clearly a "design" flaw.
From the dealer just now "they (Cobalt) got back to me and said they were working on the best solution."

So I checked the LED strips in my boat and they clip into a bracket. I wasn't able to see if the bracket it self is fastened with anything like a screw or a staple. Are you guys seeing a bracket attatched to the light or is it simply the round light strip with tape on it?

For me in the bow it was just round light strip with table. There were no brackets. I didn't check the back of the boat.
Any way to snap a picture of one of the brackets?

I'll look this weekend. It's definitely a bracket the one that fell out really snapped into place when I put it back in. I'll do my best to get a good pic of what it. looks like.

Thanks. I'm at the boat today so I'm going to take a closer look as well. Wondering if they ran out of brackets and just went with the old double sided tape...which as we all know never works upside down, again vinyl, in heat. Will be interesting to hear what Cobalt comes back with.

Confirmed that I have no brackets...I tried using some strong gorilla double sided tape made for heat. I'll see how that holds up while I wait to hear back from Cobalt....

All double-sided tape is not the same. If that's what you already have, try something like 3M VHB tape (very high bond). It comes in a variety of sizes, but here's a 1/2" roll:
