So - putting her in the water has been a little longer than anticipated - but I'm on pace for this summer. One of the last steps was that I had a severe oxidation problem to deal with. The previous owner let her sit for almost 2 years in the California desert and bake. Here's some before and after pics of the 1st step in the process. Have never really done much with this stuff before, so just did a little research. Couldn't find anyone that had the time (or the desire) to tackle the job lol.

Look at her shine! The good thing is the trailer will shine just as nice

Did you do anything to the white?

I've not not anything with the lower white. I did do the small white strip just above the blue. But haven't started above the rail yet. Will do that as well with the same process... When I look at it - I can see the white areas I've done vs not yet done. Very impressive stuff. Using "Smoove" products. And yes, as soon as I saw it shine, the trailer made me realize it needed some desperate help too lol.

Wow, that looks amazing. That is just a shocking transformation. It looks like a brand new boat.
Are you doing wet sanding and compounding, or just compounding? How many hours of labor are shown in your pictures?

Its a cutting compound I'm using. Didn't do any wet sanding - there were some that said you could do these products without a wet sand. I've been spending about 1 hour on 4-5 feet of boat and doing it over several afternoons after work. There is a second finer compound I'll do next - hoping it is worth the dead arms lol...
These are what I used:

smoove makes a great diminishing compound! the results look fantastic. i love their purplelicious boat soap, it protects the sealants from being stripped off

Don’t tase me, Bro. This is the only gig I got going after the unfortunate meteorite incident involving my house. In addition, my dog bit me, my ex-wife is stalking me, and my cat barfed on my pillow. Again.
Do you have any idea of the amount of money that I’m getting paid to hype local boydidgood ? It is truly incalculable. I don’t want to brag or anything, but Lee just gave me a 50% pay raise !

What type of equipment did you use to cut with on the boat? Electric polisher?
