272 ladder replacement

Post by cobaltrunner123 »

Lost a ladder on a 272, it was a single pull down style with a single platform for a step. Dealer is telling me that the original ladder is no longer available. Does anyone know if this ladder style can be purchased anywhere or if there is a retro fit option? Thanks.

Runner, do you have a photo by chance? Lots of aftermarket options available, such as Garelick (link is to catalog on Attwood's site): http://www.delzer.com/oneasg/garelick-catalog/32/

Any chance you still have this boat and have pictures of the piece that holds the step from swinging back when extended? It looks like it’s welded on and mine broke off this weekend and is now 50+ ft underwater.

Tic, I actually have a spare one of these complete ladder assemblies, where are you located at in Missouri? I I'm in STL and LOZ. I have the exact same ladder on my 323 and i found a new replacement one on Great Lakes Skipper a couple years ago. I bought it and replaced the old ladder off my boat so the one I have available is the old one off my boat. It is still complete and works fine but could probably use to have some of the bolts replaced and the padding replaced but it is all there and would just need a little work put into refurbishing it. let me know if your interested and we can talk about it. I was hanging onto it just in case something ever happened to mine but that's really a bummer to not have your ladder so maybe i can help!

JWill - that is awesome! This kind of thing makes it worthwhile to run this site. A lot easier solution than learning to scuba dive.

Hello all! Refreshing an old thread here with some hope: I have a 2007 272 and donated the lower part of my step/ladder to about 125ft of water at the end of last season. I haven't been able to locate a replacement, so now I am looking for the best way to add an aftermarket telescoping latter in its place. If anyone has done this for this era of Cobalt, I would greatly appreciate some guidance!
