Fuel Level at 0%
Fuel Level at 0%
My 2022 R6 was telling me 0% fuel when off the lift and idling, but would climb up to 15% when on plane. I realize the gas can sit at a different level depending on how the boat sits, but I thought it would be most accurate sitting level on the water at idle.
I thought it might be a calibration issue that has been discussed a few times on the forum, because I didn't think there was any way I was out of gas given how much I had used the boat recently.
I scrambled to the gas dock just to be sure and it only took 46 gallons. So at 0%, the tank was actually just under a 1/4. Pissed me off because I went out of my way to get to the gas dock, when I would have been just fine for the day.
Just an FYI for those that wondered how much gas the R6 has when it's actually saying it's empty.

Re: Fuel Level at 0%
Have you tried to go thru the calibration? Chances are the dealer may never had. Calibrate when full is pretty accurate. If that does not work there is a multiple level calibration. A bit impractical but should improve accuracy.

Re: Fuel Level at 0%
I am having the exact same issue. Also there is a discrepancy between the two different gauges. Dealer looking into it and will keep you in the loop. My one gauge shows like barely above empty and the other 95%

Re: Fuel Level at 0%
Is the one reading 95% close to what you expect? Looks like the two gauges are reading from different sources. Wondering if the one labeled Tank 1 is reading from a source with no sender. My guess is the other is reading from the engine (EVC) and should match with what is displayed on the EVC screen. Re: Fuel Level at 0%
That's the challenge. I dont know what to expect, the dealer added fuel during our checkout and we discovered the issue then. It was supposedly fixed when I picked up the boat but i decided to add 16 or so gallons just so I knew I had some fuel but i wasnt expecting 95%. It could be what you said but the weird thing is that initially the other gauge showed zero and then after running the engine for awhile it crept to this level. Its flaky at best.
Re: Fuel Level at 0%
I keep a log of hours between fill ups and gallons it takes to fill because the gauge is totally inaccurate. I figure my avg gallons per hour and it is pretty consistent. Saw my gauge at zero and took 56 gallons. Just not sure how long it was at zero!
