Went to Kentucky yesterday, brought out of storage for the past 22 years, my childhood dream boat! Bought from orignal owner’s son.

1974 Cobalt 18TH, powerplant is a Merc 233.

Let the restoration begin!

I am a retired professional diver with more than 10 years of experience. I purchased this boat in 2014 from my childhood friend who was working as a marine mechanic. I love this boat and would do anything to own one. The craftsmanship is amazing and the rigidity is unmatched. This boat is an investment that will last a lifetime and you will be glad you did it!

Many thanks for looking at my beautiful piece of history!

Great story DP375.

Any pics of when you owned it? It would be great to see what changed if anything.

And welcome aboard mate!

I like the cut of your jib.

Better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Congratulations!! Now you need to update your signature to account for your new acquisition.

It looks like you have room for one more vintage Cobalt in your shed.

Dudley, first congrats on getting some 'rainy day' projects. They both look to be in fine shape for their age (I hear that from my sibs). But I'm a little surprised you didn't make points by sticking with the nicknames! I did, and she loves showing off 'her' boat. :-)

The Admiral has a great sense of humor, she indulged me and just shakes her head.

Project update, my Father in-law bought the 1974, so I am in better graces..

We kept the 1975, interior and carpet have been replaced:
