I just bought a 2017 Cobalt 220S with an Arch and wanted to see if there was a way to replace the current cloth Bimini with something vinyl/plastic/ fiberglass in nature. Also, I wanted to see if anyone had ideas on a new cover because the mooring cover that came with the boat needs replaced and is not simple to get on and off.
Also, I am trying to decide between SeaDek and Marine Mat for my replacement flooring. Anyone like one over the other? They seem to be about the same product.
Thanks!

Re: 2017 Cobalt 220S - New Owner - HELP!
Westland does not carry most of the ones for the later Cobalt boats. I always had Westland covers in the past and wanted one for my current boat, but Outer Armor/ Commercial Sewing is the only one that offered one for my boat since they were the OEM for Cobalt from around 2010 to current. There are actually great Youtube videos on taking the cover off and putting it on that are extremely helpful and save tons of time and shows some pretty easy ways to handle the cover. Unfortunately, Outer Armor only sells through dealers. My Cobalt dealer was not setup to buy direct from Outer Armor, and they only got there covers from Cobalt. Cobalt was not selling them all the way back to my 2010. But the people at Outer Armor were nice enough to give me some great dealers to work through that would sell it to me and have it drop shipped. PM me if you are interested and I can send you the contact info for the Dealer Outer Armor had me work with. Pricing for the Outer Armor ended up being almost identical to what I was going to pay for the Westland cover buying it direct.

Re: 2017 Cobalt 220S - New Owner - HELP!
I have a 2015 220s with an arch. I find the mooring cover very easy to use except for when the boat is in the water. My boat lives on a trailer and I paid for an over the arch cover.mariangolf wrote: Sat Sep 10, 2022 8:29 am I just bought a 2017 Cobalt 220S with an Arch and wanted to see if there was a way to replace the current cloth Bimini with something vinyl/plastic/ fiberglass in nature. If I go on vacation I use the morning cover, at home I use the over the arch cover. No idea about a hard top though.
My marine mat (factory installed) came off right after my warranty expired. Sadly

Re: 2017 Cobalt 220S - New Owner - HELP!
We replaced Cobalt tonneaus (bow, cabin and arch) with new from Cobalt last year - these are the factory snap ins and so far they're ok. Also just bought a Cobalt mooring cover (one piece, black) and other than a PITA to put on solo, it's nice.
Our 2014 220S WSS came with carpets that we replaced a few years ago with sea grass that we had a local upholstery company make for us. Love them and would never do anything but. Also had our swim platform redone in SeaDeck from a local boat guy and it's worked super nice. Not sure I'd do SeaDeck in whole boat as our is glued on the platform (would prefer removable), they get super hot and noticing they stain.
