no power to stereo, engine hatch, horn, light in head

Post by bslenk »

2015 cobalt R7, just purchased 5 days ago. suddenly lost power to stereo, engine hatch, horn, light in head. checked all CBs by battery. The CBs are grey and have two posts with battery cables attached to them and a litte black button on top--does not look like any CB I have ever seen, but this is my first cobalt. I seen pictures of newer cobalts and the CB panel looks much different. checked the fuse box located under forward starboard chair against helm bulkhead, no joy. Any ideas? this is really bumming me out.

That is odd, all at once seems like a CB issue, I believe all the CB's are where you checked, my head light stopped working once and it ended up being a loose wire in a panel accessed in the head, right next to the light. Think it was two screws.

Do you have the electrical diagrams from the factory? They will provide them if you call and request the drawings. The electrical diagrams will simplify troubleshooting by an order of magnitude as compared to not having them.
