New from Alabama

Hey, Y'all!

Brand new Cobalt owner of a fairly old 220 (1998), white with blue. She seems to be structurally sound and in fair condition for age. It appears that previous owner may have neglected covering for a while so some new upholstery is in order. Also going to need covers as she didn't come with any at all. Cup holders needed. Seadeck or carpet replacement...? Going to need to redo the dash panels and a steering wheel also. I'm sure there will be other stuff also. Will add a pic once I get her cleaned up a bit...

Bring on all the suggestions for things I mentioned...and anything I may have missed...
I saw some debate on mooring cover vs. snap-on cover. It does already have snaps, but I understand getting a replacement may not be as simple as ordering one for year and "model"...

Looking forward to this "new" boat chapter in my life with my kids!

So glad you found us WjG3...

Thanks for the intro. You are going to make some amazing memories on her.

Change the oil, filters, batteries, and impeller.

How's the trailer look? Lights, bearings, ratchet strap?

And welcome aboard mate!

Welcome. There're some great lakes in Alabama. I'm sure you'll enjoy them.
I still have fond memories of when we first started boating. Learn to laugh at your mistakes, like if you're sinking, and then remember I forgot to put the plug in. LOL.
Check back here, someone will usually give you advise, but most of it will mean spending money.

Did anyone respond on advice on the covers? I have same boat/model/year and need to replace the bow and cockpit covers. Can't find them anywhere...
