Aft Shade Sail Location (R8 Surf)

Hi Cobalt Aficionados,

Just took possession of a 23’ (new to me) R8 Surf. It has the Prisma tower and the shade sail (aft) on the options sheet from the original purchase…

My biggest issue is I can’t locate the shade or the poles. Can anyone share where those would normally be stored on the R8 Surf?

Or what to even look for? I’ve looked practically everywhere spare for unrolling the mooring cover and figured I would ask the experts if it’s not all stored somewhere clever…

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the warm welcome, I’m excited to get aboard finally!

*** Mystery solved … it’s with the previous owner still 🤦🏼‍♂️ I truly began to think I was losing my mind not able to find where it might be stashed! ***

Hello again everyone - the story continues on I guess…previous owner has located the shade, but cannot find the poles; so it’s looking like I’m going to have to purchase these.

I’m guessing Cobalt charges an arm and a leg for these - are they anything generic or universal by chance? Does anyone have any they don’t use and want to sell?

Any photos or info would be greatly appreciated!
