I will provide a video and photos of the install once I get it all wrapped up and pretty....I just installed a Garmin GPSMAP 943XSV on my 2007 Cobalt 240. I already had a VP Easy Connect (includes NMEA 2000 output) which I connected to the GPS. It provides a bunch of engine data but does not appear to provide the outdrive trim level (up, down, %, degrees, etc) which I'd like to have because when running the boat I cannot hear the trim pump stall out at the bottom or know exactly what position it is in for repeat use under certain conditions. The gauge works but isn't as accurate or detailed for my needs.

Does anyone know if there is a NMEA 2000 trim sensor available for a VP DPS-A outdrive? Or something else that would work to get NMEA 2000 trim data to my GPS?

There's a trim angle sensor that's usually wired to a trim angle gauge, but to send it over NMEA 2000 you'd need some sort of encoder, such as this:

Note it takes the same data from the stock trim angle sensor as the gauge you already have, but it may be easier to calibrate, easier to read, etc..
