Has anyone mounted a Garmin (or other brand) camera on the underside of the tower, connected to a GPS so you can view your skiers, wakeboarders etc, behind the boat in lieu of a rearview mirror? I just installed a GPSMAP® 943xsv and thinking of adding a Garmin GC™ 200 Marine IP Camera. If you have a rearview camera installed, please comment on how you use it and your satisfaction level. Thanks in advance.

I don't have one but I've used one on another boat. It works pretty well for awareness of other boats, but the one I used was wider angle and might not work so well for a skier or tuber on a long rope. It looks like the one you're looking at is a narrower angle (99°), so I would think it would work pretty well.

I have a Garmin rearview camera on my 2023 R8 Surf. It is built in to the transom above the swim platform. The video shows on one of the dash screens and is great to have. I use it 99% for water sports activities. It’s fairly intuitive in that it shows a mirror image on the screen so that it looks natural to the captain. To answer your question my satisfaction level is 10/10. Mirrors work also but rear camera is better.

Pics of your 943xsv install would be appreciated.
Thanks
