This switch went out on me and I can’t find it anywhere on the internet. It doesn’t engage when pressed. Anyone know where I can get one? Same type switch in the pic. This had the tab broke off and it’s been fixed. It’s on a 2007 Cobalt 232.

Thanks for the link, but I’d like to find the Otto switch. Don’t want an oddball switch on the dash. But those are some nice looking switches on that site.

Not sure where to find an exact replacement - BUT I had the same problem with one of my switches and since I don't use the Accessory switch, I just swapped it. My switch still worked, it just did not light up - the male connector on the light had broken off. If I ever need to use the accessory switch (doubt I will) I will find one then.

My accessory switch is used for my Captain’s Call, so I don’t have that option. I did find Otto 900105. I ordered it to see if it will fit. If not, I would still like to find the 900101.

Billk those are the plastic buttons.
Titaniumboy, those are the switches. I didn’t see the 900101. If this one I found on EBay 900105 doesn’t work, I will try one off Mouser.

The “normal” Otto P5 line also appears to be plastic as compared to the metal Otto P5-V line. Maybe Otto changed up their push button designations sometime in the last 17 years?

I was going to recommend looking at this button on Great Lakes Skipper, but I think you’ve already found it.


The xxx105 designation on the current Otto P5-V line indicates a “flush mount, flat button”, but that isn’t what the picture is showing. Just another indication that Otto has rejiggered their numbering system. Do you know if your existing switches are aluminum or stainless steel? Great Lakes Skipper is showing their switch as being aluminum.

Not sure. Appears to be aluminum. I called Otto. They couldn’t give me any information on that model. Said that model was proprietary like Cobalt had them make the switches for them. They couldn’t even tell me if it was a 5 or 10 amp switch. Told me to call Cobalt.

Can you tell whether your current switch is aluminum or stainless steel? The P5-V ones from Mouser's current product line are likely the best option, although Great Lakes Skipper still has one of the 900105 in stock.

Tecnografics assembled a lot of these panels for Cobalt (and still does for many manufacturers), and may be able to answer questions regarding your original switch if Cobalt doesn't have the information.

If I had a switch that failed, I'd seriously consider replacing the others along with it, making an exact match less critical. Perhaps something like https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/OT ... FFEA%3D%3D

I'm not sure if the 900101 is aluminum or stainless - I'm guessing aluminum. I ordered the 900105 from GLS, which should arrive on Monday. After I receive it, I'll post a picture of the 900105 and 900101 side by side. If it's not an acceptable match, I'll swap it with a switch on the dash that isn't in use. It doesn't have underwater lights, but there is a switch for the lights. There is also a switch for captain call that I also don't think the boat is equipped with. I just bought the boat used in Nov and was only had in water during the survey.

The switch arrived today, but unfortunately it's not a match (see pics). The one John posted looks like a better match, but for now I'll swap the broken switch with an unused one. If another one goes, I'll look into replacing all of them.
