Hello from northern NY

Post by Anchor86 »

Decided to upgrade our ‘99 SeaRay 230 about a year ago. Always loved the look of the R series and started looking but I’m in SeaRay and Chaparral country. Finally decided to go with the R7 and after 5 months of daily searching(literally) and reaching out to the Cobalt dealers in the northeast, found a R7 that checked all boxes….in Minnesota :D.
Negotiations went well and Survey with a sea trial went great, so 2,270 miles round trip later we have our 2020 R7. Planning to get 24 years plus out of this boat like we have from our SeaRay. Thanks for the comments and advice from this great forum!!j
Will be a long winter as I had the dealer winterize it.

Very nice! I went from a SeaRay 185 to an R5 a couple of years ago, could not be happier with the Cobalt - I had been a SeaRay owner for many years prior.

We sold our 1987 Searay Seville that we had for 28 years that had treated us well. We ordered an R7 in 2018 with all of our must have options and a few would like to have as well. Boat has been great and quite the upgrade ! Enjoy your boat we love ours !
