I bought my first Cobalt this summer - a 1999 232BR with a 7.4MFI and Volvo Duoprop. Only 340h on the thing and a fresh engine rebuild as well as all new vinyl. Love it.

The ignition key has a plastic snap-over cover and I’d like to replace it with new and get a second for a spare set. I’ve looked everywhere I know to and can’t find the cover. Even took some
Effort to find a key blank for a copy.

Anybody know a source?

I'm curious, do you own a European mahogany craft?

Own isn’t the correct term.

I bought a set of lines for something akin to the love child of an Aquarama, a Chris Craft Utility, and a modern Mastercraft V-drive. I modified them, lofted them and am working to n a couple design studies at 1:8. One is 3d printed frame by frame and the other in dimensionally accurate 1:8 basswood. I’m currently planking the wood one (1:8 scale is a PITA when laying three plies of quarter inch strips [1/32 x 1/8]).

All that to say I’m recreating my own. First in cad, then at 1:8 and eventually full size. When done she will be 24’oal with an 80” beam, a reverse-mounted V8 and a v-drive. The hull should be good for ~60kts while still looking elegant at displacement speeds.

Cobalt hasn't used key covers like that in a long time, so it would be sheer luck to find someone with a decent one in a drawer who's willing to part with it.

Here’s one me each of the cad model, the printed model and the wooden model.

The two that show up as black boxes are only 12kb (the third one is 130kb), so I don't think the file's uploading correctly.
