Went round and round on where to install this.
I could have flush mounted it to the panel just to the right of the steering wheel. But relocating the tilt trim gauge would have been an issue.
So I bought a Ram mount with and installed it where the stereo remote was located. It no longer worked. So this was a perfect location.

Nice install. I also used a RAM mount to suspend my Garmin above the dash off to the left side of the wheel - it's a great way to be able to support the chartplotter essentially anywhere there's room for it. There are a handful of other ideas in this thread too:
