Hi folks, i have a 2012 210 without gps. I came across a similar model with what looks to be a factory installed gps option (see photo). On my boat in that location, it's a cubby hole that would accept the gps option. I haven't been able to find anything from Cobalt to retrofit it. Has anyone done this with an aftermarket product? Apparently, the original factory option was a Garmin 640 but it's discontinued. Other than this the dash doesn't have a lot of mounting options.

I have nearly the same boat, and ended up ordering a custom triangular plate for the other side of the dash to mount a different radio remote - see this thread for more details: viewtopic.php?p=113571
Figure at least a couple hundred bucks for the one-off custom panel, if they agree to make it for you. Due to the space limitations on the dash panels, I ended up using a RAM mount on my 210, and mounting a somewhat larger chartplotter above the dash. See the end of this thread for my solution:

I bought a gps-enabled tablet, loaded it with the Navionics App, and mounted it to the right of the steering wheel. Been working great for years.

How I mounted mine won't help you. Our two layouts are too different.
There are tons of boat brackets for tablets. Be sure to get one for a marine environment. You need to pick the bracket that will put the tablet where you want it. At a glance, you might be best with a side mount on the side panel.
Two warnings: The gps nav is a power pig. Don't leave the tablet in the bracket when you dock at a public place.

I ended up buying a couple pieces. First, I ordered a complete mount kit, but ordered the medium arm instead of the short arm I eventually used. The short and medium arm versions of the kit can both be found at:
