Fuel Gauge Not Working...& Gauge Setup

Greetings from Duuuval, FL...that's Jacksonville.

1) I'm having a small issue with my fuel reading as it seems to be stuck on F. It sometimes moves to 3/4 but I know it's reading more gas than I have in it. Any thoughts/suggestions?

2) Also what is the % gas reading, what's its purpose?

3) Last how is everyone's setup on their Garmin, what readings are you showing?

4) Oh and how do I get multiple readings across the very top bar also?

From the picture it looks like your gas tank is roughly 3/8 full. What tank are you wanting to see on the Tank 1 gauge?

Thanks for responding!
To my knowledge I only have 1 tank, am I incorrect? Should I change this to tank 2? I'm just trying to get an accurate reading of what's in my gas tank.

Your gas tank is second from the left, on the bottom. Not sure why there's an additional tank configured if there's only one tank.

So glad you found us T7…

Yes what model boat do you own? Do you have two separate fuel tanks on your vessel?

And welcome aboard mate.

Thanks A7 and Jd. I’m a 23SC. I should’ve snapped a new photo but after topping off my fuel neither of the gauges moved. Someone said my float could be stuck so I’m gonna add a treatment to the fuel and see if that helps.

Only 1 tank (to my knowledge). It doesn’t give me the option for Tank 2 only Tank 1????

These are Garmin options so not all may apply to your boat. I use the same templa that you are using and this is my setup for a VP.

Do you have to reset the fuel gauge after refueling or does it/should it reset and read automatically?

Should reset automatically. The fuel send units are basically just a big potentiometer and a float and can sometimes get stuck or fail, and it's not rocket science but you need to have access to the fuel tank to replace it (often through larger round plug under a seat or some such thing).

Thanks, it's going in for the anti-siphon recall and I'm gonna have them take a look while there.
