I was offline pretty much all day yesterday because I went to SE Oklahoma to ride my bike. 82 miles off-road (all single track) and boy am I feeling it today!

I used to race the durn things and it's hard not to get in over my head pretty quick. In my mind I can still do certian things, but my body checks out right as Im doing it... I only made a couple of bad decisions and crashed once going over a log as big as my front wheel.The tree was at an angle, so I cleaned it and made it over but landed in tbe rocks and went down hard. I was out in front and trying to keep ahead! I almost dropped it in a river crossing, but one of my buddies went all the way down in the water. We all got a good laugh because the temp yesterday was in the low 60's but he still froze his butt off.


All the guys I ride with are over 60, and most are late 60's or early 70's, but they were AA or "expert" riders back in the day. Good Lord are tbey still fast! At least before lunch. I noticed everyone slowed down a touch later in tbe day. By the time we got back to the truck to load up yesterday evening everyone was moving pretty slow getting their gear off and their bikes loaded up. But everyone had smiles!

Life is a good thing! I used to think the world revolved around dirt bikes and my adventure motorcycle riding.
Now boating has crept in and taken over....

YT, I hadn't been on a bike for a few years until my wife decided we all needed bikes for Christmas. We have been out once as a family since. I managed a half an hour in between giving lessons and starting bikes. I felt it for days.
You and your buddies give me inspiration that I can keep it up for another 25 years!

Thanks 2ridgebacks. This picture was from one of the gravel roads we came out on to connect the trails. There is some great riding in that part of the state.

What do you ride? Do you rise off road or around town? I do adventure rides too. That's where you pack everything you need on the bike and take off, riding mostly back roads, jeep roads and trails. I stay off the blacktop and get back into the country if possible.

This are just some of the adventure bikes I've had. I just sold this first one a few days ago, and about to get another one soon. You ever ride anything like this? They are BIG fun!

That last KTM is sick! No, I haven’t ridden adv bikes. I hadn’t a couple modern 4 stroke moto bikes, then an XR400. Currently on a new to me crf250x. I would like to plate the bike for a few dual sport rides. That’s probably about all until the kids are out if the house. So maybe another 15 Years....

That 950 Super Enduro was my favorite of all. Tons of power and handled just like a bigass dirt bike, which it was. But it had a small gas tank and no range.

Those CRs are great bikes. I have a 350 Six Days thats tagged to connect the trails. That what I rode on Friday. You can get a duelsport kit from Rocky mountain for like 150 buck to make it street legal. Depending on where you are, it's no big deal to tag one. Well, here it's not. I think I could tag a lawnmower and get away with it in OK.
