1999 200 Cable replacement

Hi All My 1999 200 is not shifting well and I think it may be time to replace the cables. Does anyone know what size cables I need? I know they are pinted on the housing but I'm 50 miles from the boat. Thanks

Gas Struts for engine cover 1999 200

Hi All I would like to replace the gas struts on my 1999 200 engine cover. I can read the information on the side of the strut but can't find the replacement strut from Lift-O-Mat Any ideas on a replacement unit?

Re: Motor oil for 5.0 MPI

Okay another question: Is there a hose or anything attached to the bottom of the pan for easy oil change or do I have to suck it out of the dipstick tube? I looked for a pan tube but didn't see any.

Re: New Guy Here

I may tow a skier once an a while but mostly just running from point A to B so speed is a priority. My thought is a 14.5x19 SS prop.

Re: New Guy Here

Hi All Revisiting this; I called Merc Cust service and it turns out I have the 1.47 gear ratio and will be using the boat in the Sacrament Delta. What size prop should I be looking for? 1999 200 with 5.0L EFI. I has a Turning Point 14.5x17p aluminum prop on it right now but I would like SS and ...

Re: New Guy Here

Yes I found this information. The reason I'm asking is because Cmatt mentioned that they came in 1.47 for sea level and 1.61 for Tahoe and I wanted to confirm what I have. I know the PO did use it in Tahoe. The gearing would require different props.

Re: New Guy Here

Okay new question. I was at the boat today looking for the gear ratio on the outdrive and only found the serial #'s . Gear case # is OL422087 and transom plate serial # is OL299409 No other #'s. This is a 1999 5.0L how do I figure out the gear ratio?

Re: New Guy Here

Okay! It looks like the prop thats on it now is a Turning Point aluminum 14.25X17. What would be a good SS replacement? I don't tow much and like speed.

Re: New Guy Here

No engine shot as of yet. The PO is holding the boat until I can take delivery. The engine bay is in very clean condition with a very clean bilge. I asked him this morning what size prop is on the boat but he's not near it to check. The alfa One looks very clean with only the bottom inch of the skeg ...
