Re: 276 upholstery
A buddy of mine was having his redone and the guy doing the work knew exactly what product to use after seeing the seats. From my understanding, Beluga is an industry standard and all manufacturers of Marine vinyl will produce it. It's hard to understand and sad at the same time, that Cobalt does ...

Re: VP 8.1 GXI Trim Tilt
I am the one that purchased the switch from bruceb58. Just buy the Mercruiser T harness, cut the plug off the Volvo switch and wire it accordingly. The red button will not be used in your application so there will be one spare wire. The Volvo switch is a much nicer looking switch and operates ...

Re: Transom Trim Switch for Volvo
There is a T harness for the trim switch. I used one from Mercruiser that was plug and play. This link shows a kit and the switch looks just like what comes from the factory. When I added mine I used the Volvo switch shown above, however I had to cut the round plug off and make my own plug that was ...

Re: Steering Acuator
If you trace the cable to the front there should be a part number on it. Most likely it's a Seastar product but they have been bought out by Dometic. The part numbers are still the same at least 3 years ago they were. I tied a piece of rope on mine and pulled it out so I could order the correct part ...

Re: Flooring / Sea Grass Replacement
I went with this company and everything turned out very nice, no complaints.

I ordered replacement Cobalt snaps from Gordy's Marine so it would look more factory.

Re: Steering Acuator
I would start by disconnecting the actuators and see if the drives turn freely. You should be able to turn them with little effort by hand.

Re: 2013 262 SD WSS secure starboard bow vent to hull
A picture would help. Are you referring to the horn grille? If so the horns are attached to a bracket that has threads for those screws. You will most likely need someone on the inside to hold the horns in place to line up the screws.

Re: Steering Actuator (VP)
Not sure on your specific model, however I replaced mine without pulling the motor. If I were doing it again I would switch to a hydraulic steering system.

Re: Hello from Iowa - 1995 Cobalt 272 BR
I’ll look into a new cable asap since it is probably the original. Definitely don’t want to be stranded out in the water. Any recommendations on where to source one outside of local boat shops/mechanics?
