Baby/Doggy Gate
I have an old beagle who has done most of her boating in a pontoon, essentially fully enclosed. But with the walk-thru transom on my new R5 she wants to venture to far out for my and my wife's comfort. She is not as spry as she used to be, and has never had a desire to swim, so I don't even know if ...

Re: Moving to the lake!
I am sitting here on my couch this early Sunday morning, having a coffee and looking out over my boat and dock and lake, I can tell you, you likely just found your new happy place. Congrats.

I should have added that they were wrong. It is still very nice, just as I thought it would be.scottsyott wrote: Mon Mar 29, 2021 12:52 pm My dealer and my wife talked me out of the navy stripe with the bayside.

Since no one else put a bayside blue IRL photo up, I figured I would. It was much nicer than I anticipated.

Re: Help with Colors!
I like the new bayside blue for a side hull color with a white bottom. Maybe a navy hull stripe?
It’s much sharper in real photos than on the Cobalt website configuration. Very classy color.

Re: New R5 Today
Great looking boat! I am ordering my R6 Surf now, and struggling with color choices. The online configurator is pretty terrible at illustrating the various interior and exterior colors. The Bayside Blue in your boat looks great! Would never have guessed that from the configurator. Congrats.
I ...

Re: New R5 Today
Congrats, beautiful color!
Thanks. It is Bayside Blue which is new for '21 and the stripe is Frost Gray. I had decided on Navy/Slate and after I ordered it, but before it went into production, I saw two just like it on my part of the lake. Not wanting to blend in, I took a chance and ...

No snow here, at least not yet, or for a while. Had to make a customer delivery on a beautiful mid-November evening.

Looks great! The pillows make a great addition.
Do they stay in place at speed?
Good choice on the mooring cover instead of tonneau covers.
Thanks. Yes, they weigh about 5 pounds a piece. They are like 16" cornhole bags. At 50mph they don't even rustle. As for mooring cover, I HATE snaps. Just ...

Well, the engine is a modest VP300, but given my first few hours with it, I don't need anything else.Luv2HuntAR wrote: Sun Nov 08, 2020 1:37 am Very nice. Great lookin’ boat. You missed one critical pic .... engine. I hope your family enjoys your R5 as much as we’ve enjoyed ours.

Great looking boat! I have a similar one on order since the first of September. Did you order yours? How long did it take?
Thanks. I ordered mine on or about the middle of August, but wound up with a build date of late Sept. From then it was 6 weeks to my dock. I understand that the whole of ...

Thanks, Those pillows were a gift from my sister. Filled with buckwheat hulls, so they weigh about 5#-6# each. She made custom towels for the original "Scottsyott" and flags for "Scottsyott 2". She is pretty handy.
