Re: Can't get lower unit lined back up. Alpha One original.
That's alright. The mechanic fairies came last night and lined everything up, while I was sleeping. Went out and looked at it, started tightening it up and everything went together and worked. What I don't get is I only drained a little over a quart from the drive and it only took about a quart. I ...

Can't get lower unit lined back up. Alpha One original.
Crap! Took my lower drive unit off to change the impeller and now I can't get it back on all the way. Not sure if the drive shaft is hitting or that little shifter gear tube fell down a little and is out of line. 1986 Alpha One on 17BR. Frustrated, tried to put it on and off half a dozen times or ...

Re: No power to instrument panel or ignition switch.
I did find out there is no fuse box, but all the electrics work except now my auxillary switch isn't working to my fish finder/depth gauge. Weird. Lol.

Re: No power to instrument panel or ignition switch.
Lol. How stupid. Fretted and wasted time over this electric issue. Downloaded a step by step wire checklist, checked all the wires in the stern, there is fuse box and all kinds of power. Went to start checking out the helm, decided to mess with the shifter and jiggled it. Turned the key and whalaa ...

Re: No power to instrument panel or ignition switch.
I checked the wires going into the switch and no juice. None of the breakers are blown that I can see. The one little fuse under the instrument panel is ok. I'll be checking it out a little more today. Do you know if there're are any hidden fuses that I have to dig for? Thanks for replying. The ...

No power to instrument panel or ignition switch.
1986 17BR, no power to key/ignition switch. Touched all the wires with a multimeter and nothing. Radio/stereo and trim both work. Where to start before I begin to rip things apart?

No power to instrument panel or ignition switch.
Drove my 1986 17BR home. Now I have no power to my key/ignition switch. Little fuse not blown and can't find a wiring diagram large enough to read. Any ideas as to why no power. Radio works and trailer /trim works.
