Many thanks for the suggestions!
I have reached out to Cobalt and they confirmed that Molex connectors were used at the time my 2012 was built but they stated that they no longer use that type of connection.

Re: 200s Seadek for swim platform
The Seadek looks fantastic. I just got a 2012 200 & would like to add Seadek as well.
A few questions please -
1) Do you think your 2018 platform would be the same template as mine?
2) Did you install yourself or did you use a local service?
3) Any guidance on the cost would be appreciated - don't ...

Thank you. We had a few rides before putting it up for the winter. Can't wait until spring.Luv2HuntAR wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2020 12:03 am Welcome to the world of Cobalt. Love the boat. Looks like you did well; she’s really clean. Hope you get to enjoy her before you have to put her up for the winter.

I know the fuel pump kicks on when starting up but I hear it all the time. Is that normal?

Re: After 34 years of owning Regal boats - we switched to a Cobalt
Thx for the quick reply. This is the best forum I've ever been on.
I'll have to check it out in the spring. We just dropped off the boat for winter storage.
One other question....
When the engine is running, I hear a hum (sounds like the bilge pump is running). My son said he heard that the Volvos ...

Re: After 34 years of owning Regal boats - we switched to a Cobalt
Yea. I was afraid of that. Any idea on the cost? I had a few replaced on my Regal Mercs over the years but I'm guessing it may be a bit more involved (&expensive) on the Cobalt's Volvo.
Thx

Re: After 34 years of owning Regal boats - we switched to a Cobalt
Thanks so much. I read about the adjustment screw on the friction plate but one of the sites I checked stated that if the tension (ie tightness) is not there when revving the boat in neutral, then it's a cable issue and not the friction adjustment screw.
I'd much rather it be a simple adjustment ...

Re: After 34 years of owning Regal boats - we switched to a Cobalt
We definitely need some getting used to the Volvo. The duoprop is great but I think I have a sticky cable so it jerks when I pull back on the throttle. Makes for a fun time when docking.

After 34 years of owning Regal boats - we switched to a Cobalt
Well, it wasn't easy to switch but now that we have it's obvious that there's nothing like a Cobalt!
We bought a 2012 200 this October. It's got 180 hours and it's in beautiful condition. Also, we never had a Volvo outdrive before. Our new Cobalt has a duoprop. Any tips, suggestions, or warnings ...
